Laughing Experience

I walked in and checked in with the lovely lady behind the desk, Grace. She was such a pleasure to speak to and since I am rather new to Denver (2 months in) she was giving me suggestions as to what groups to get in touch with in regards to starting my own business. I felt welcomed immediately.

We all know that hair removal is not painless experience but I came to Acomoclitic because of the rave reviews and I requested Heidi. I came in to try the sugaring service and though it might not be painless Heidi does a damn good job at taking your mind off the pain and somehow managing to make this less painful than any other waxing service I've had down below. She kept me laughing the entire time and was suggesting with great places to eat for a date I had coming up later on in the week. I wanted the service to last longer just so I had an excuse to stay and talk to her (crazy, I know). I have absolutely no intentions of going anywhere else because the services provided here are fabulous!

Save yourself the time of going somewhere else and just call and ask for Heidi. She is a no nonsense kind of woman and is remarkable! She has the magic sweet touch for the sugaring service (okay i know that sounds corny but its true). -- Kara D

Welcome and Comfortable

Heidi has been doing my laser hair removal treatments for nearly 6 months and she is friendly, super-knowledgeable, and knows how to make a person feel welcome and comfortable. She's also given me excellent advice on what will and will not work for my skin type, which is a big help, since I'm a skin care Groupon addict.

Just don't let the exterior of the building fool you. When I first pulled up, I thought it might be a fly-by-night operation or a dingy space, but inside is beautifully decorated, warm, and inviting. Plus, the equipment they use is high-quality. They upgraded to a new laser in the midst of my appointments and I find it stellar they try to stay on top of hair removal technology. The last place I went was using equipment that looked - and felt - really old by comparison. -- Diva D.

Awesome

First and foremost: Heidi is awesome. I love Heidi. I love her professionalism, I love her personality, and I love her work. Heidi actually makes the experience FUN, and this is usually one of those things no one considers fun. And you can trust her implicitly, which is pretty damn important when someone is burning the hair out of your hoo-ha. I cannot stress how important it is to go to the right person (instead of just the right salon), so go to Heidi.

Heidi definitely knows what she's doing, and can explain the entire process behind lasering in great detail if you want. And it's clear she takes pride in her work. She's thorough and will make sure to pass over with the laser multiple times in one session if it looks like your skin can handle it. And she always makes sure it's not too much for your skin or pain tolerance level. She's also  always willing to make time for you to pop in for a touch-up; it's clear she wants you to be happy with your experience. After just a couple of visits to her, it's starting to look like Death Valley down there (in a good way).

RECOMMENDATIONS:
1) If you didn't get it yet, go to Heidi.
2) Book appointments far in advance to get in with who you want. Give them a call if you're having trouble booking online (online booking is usually awesome by the way).
3) Sign up for their text messages, since you get awesome deals that way.
4) Check Yelp and check in for additional discounts. Also check their website since they will sometimes have great deals posted there, too.

Loved It

Two days before my appointment my husband got into a bike accident and went to the hospital. The next day, my five month old son got a cold. Needless to say, I was pretty spacey and showed up an hour late for my appointment. Heidi squeezed me in though! This was my first lip sugaring (or anything sugaring) and it was awesome. She was very thorough and tweezed the baby hairs the sugar couldn't quite grab. Sugaring is way less painful than waxing. I loved it. Have already told people about this place. Sugaring Convert

I am a sugaring convert.

I was initially convinced to come in because I have a HORRIBLY low pain tolerance so getting a bikini wax still feels like someone is scalping my pussy even after a couple of shots of whiskey and a dangerously high dosage of pain meds.

Well, I have now been "sugared" 3 times and it is not only FAR less painful than waxing (I can go without the pain meds, whoopie!), but I am amazed at how little hair has grown back with each treatment. Taryn is thorough and always gets my in-growns, but the last two times I have been back (after my first time), we've both been amazed at how hairless I still am after a month. It's now almost more of a "touch up" than full waxing. I couldn't be happier.

The trick now is that the hair is SO thin, it is more difficult to wax, but Taryn is a pro. If the wax can't grab the thin little hair on the first attempt, she finds a way. She wont let you go home patchy. I love the post-sugared feeling and don't think I'll ever go back to waxing again.

Recommendations:
- book far enough in advance to request Taryn. She's good, so she's always booked up.
- pop one or two advil about an hour before your appointment for a virtually pain-free experience
- check in on yelp for a discount

First Sugaring

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Acomoclitic! I had my first sugaring appointment yesterday with Taryn, and had my lady bits as well as my eyebrows done. I have had waxing done many many times, and my last few experiences were Not Good At All (leftover wax which is hard to remove, actual burns on my sensitive lady parts, lots of hair that didn't get removed, etc.) I read about sugaring somewhere on the internet, googled places who offer the service in the Denver, and found the good folks at Acomoclitic! It certainly wasn't pain free, but it honestly hurts less than waxing, I have no unwanted hair left at all, and no ingrowns or lasting irritation. Now, it has only been a day, so I can't say yet how different the regrowth time will be, but I don't think I'll ever go back to wax.

I was also very happy with how at ease Taryn made me feel, which is nice when you're half naked on a table. A++, would get hair removed again! -- Amber K.

Great Job

Taryn did a great job on my "sugaring". In my experience it is a lot more gentle on your skin. Yes it does hurt just as bad as regular waxing. But doesn't feel like the waxer is literally ripping off your skin from your body.

I would agree with the other reviews. I had a certificate to try the place for a sugar wax and I was impressed. They do a great job. They make sure you do not walk out with any stray hairs or any sugar bits smeared on you. (I have often left other places with bits of wax sticking my skin to my clothes on my way home).

Completely Hairless

I found Acomoclitic through a groupon and what caught my eye about them was that they do sugaring. Sugaring is definitely the way to go because the removal lasts so much longer and doesn't cause any in grown hairs. You don't have the feeling of hot wax being spread on your raw skin either. I have been coming here for the past couple years and Heidi is the only person I will see there. She is so incredibly thorough, she's the only one that leaves me feeling completely hairless as opposed to other who say "those hairs are too small to grab." I drive about 45 minutes each way to have Heidi do my wax and its so worth it everytime! You can really tell that she has a lot of experience and loves making people feel beautiful. Super Comfortable

Love Sugaring

I love this place! I have been sugaring here for almost 4 months and not matter who I get they do a fabulous job and keep it professional but put you at ease with casual conversation. I love sugaring more than the old style blue wax and don't think I'd ever go back to the old waxing ways. It's not nearly as painful!

Stoked for Sugaring

We just moved CA and I had been getting sugaring done and wanted to find a place in Denver. I didn't find anything on Google and Yelp came up with Acomoclitic Studio and I was STOKED to find out they do sugaring! Their prices are very reasonable (considering I came from Orange County) and have 3 convenient locations. Highlands Ranch is closest to me and I met with Maydee. She is FANTASTIC. She's very friendly and got to know me and explained everything she was doing. Even though I've had brazilians before she immediately made me feel at ease. Feeling Comfortable

Male Brazilian

Went for a male brazilian sugaring. This was my first time ever getting waxed, and I didnt know what to expect. It was painful, but it was pretty much what I expected. I went a 2nd time and it was much less painful once the hairs didnt have some deep roots.  Taryn made me feel very comfortable and put all of my fears to rest (possible erections, shrinkage due to being scared, awkward and vulnerable positions, etc...) None of my fears were an issue, and I love the results, as does my girlfriend.  I think I am pretty lucky because very little of my hair even grew back after the first time, gf did not have the same results with hers from another place though. -- Nathanial P.

Superior to Others

Best Brazilian Wax

Love this place! Everyone here is super friendly and professional and I've always left there very happy with what I had done. Best brazilian wax I've ever had. Quick, and they make it as painless as possible. The sugaring is AWESOME, less painful than waxing and seems to last longer. Best Kept Secret

I hate to share Denver Metro's best kept secret, but this place is, hands down, the best. It doesn't matter whether it is Heidi or Taryn, your waxing/sugaring/laser needs will be handled in both a witty and professional way. As a guy, the Brazilian always was 90 minutes of torture for 4 weeks of wonderful smoothness. Acomoclitic changed all of that with sugaring. I realized a lot of the torture was the heat. There is no heat with the sugar and instead of 90 minutes of torture, it's under an hour of, well, okay, maybe bliss isn't the word, but it's certainly not torture. Everyone here will put you at ease. My only advice would be to book ahead of time as they have little time for walk-ins at this point due to how busy they are and they're busy because they really are just that good. -- Michael H.

Great Experience
